CORE VALUES

Values are timeless. They are found in every society of every culture of every people in every land. They cross boundaries. They counter boundaries. Passionate love for God, love and compassion for others, integrity, faithfulness andexcellence are values that should make up the CORE of every Christian man, woman and child.

Passionate Love for God

An intimate and wholehearted devotion reserved to God alone that is steadfast and unparalleled, evidenced by absolute submission and obedience to God’s will.

"Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength."
~ Deuteronomy 6:5 (NIV)

Love and Compassion for Others
A compelling urge that eventually becomes a natural inclination to selflessly care for others as He cares for others, becoming God’s channel of unconditional mercy and grace.

“Be merciful to those who doubt; save others by snatching them from the fire; to others show mercy, mixed with fear—hating even the clothing stained by corrupted flesh.” ~Jude 1:22-23 (NIV)

Integrity
An uprightness of character that is beyond reproach, in private and public life, through the uncompromised principle of upholding truth, transparency and consistency in word and in action.
“In my integrity you uphold me and set me in your presence forever.”~Psalms 41:12 (NIV)

Faithfulness
An authentic loyalty to God with a sense of responsibility as stewards to the various roles, relationships and resources entrusted by God.

"His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!" ~
Matthew 25:21 (NIV)

Excellence
A quality of character that rejects mediocrity and commits to God’s highest workmanship.

The very word conveys ‘possession of eminently good qualities, great merit, virtue or goodness’. But excellence cannot be measured in the form of intellectual tests alone, nor in attitude alone. Excellence is as much in mind as it is in character. Daniel had both a keen mind and an irreproachable character.

“Now Daniel so distinguished himself among the administrators and the satraps by his exceptional qualities that the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom.” ~Daniel 6:3 (NIV)
